Features:
The conical fiber lens is designed to expand the numerical aperture (NA) of the fiber, thereby enhancing its light collection capability. This makes it particularly suitable for coupling with laser diodes (LDs), distributed feedback lasers (DFBs), superluminescent diodes (SLDs), and VCSELs, where the output beam profile is circular or nearly circular.
High-precision conical fiber lenses are also used in the development of laser microsurgery systems and micro-illumination systems in medical applications.
Furthermore, with the increasing maturity of silicon photonic integration, conical fiber lenses are becoming essential components to improve the coupling efficiency between optical fibers and waveguides.
